Easter time in Greece
Kids were shown by Mrs Anthoula how to dye Easter eggs in the traditional greek way, using only natural plants, mostly onion leaves and madder seeds.
Eggs are wrapped with onion leaves and are tied with a piece of stocking. Then they boil for about 20-30 minutes.
In the same way they are boiled in madder seeds water( it must be drained from the seeds first) and we can use various leaf patterns that are removed after boiling.
Another way is to be wrapped in construction paper of various colours and be soaked in water. Then they are left to dry.

How to avoid the spreading of the flu (Italy Mondovì)
Pupils learned some keywords about our health, like flu, headache, stomach ache, sore throat, being sick, sneeze, cough...
Then they talked about ways of avoiding the spreading of the flu.
They made a list of some easy rules:
Put a tissue in front of your mouth when you sneeze or cough,
Stay in bed in case of fever,
Drink a lot of orange squash (vitamins keep you healthy!).
Then they tried to invent a song using a famous tune (Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush) and here is the result!
THANK YOU ITALY FOR THIS NICE LESSON !!!!

Onion syrup for the third time and ...
Who would have thought that the onion syrup will be such a hit !!!
Pupils from Pszów (Poland) prepared also another syrup which is also a natural remedy for cold. It could be made up quickly and with ingredients that we have on hand because it is made of lemons, honey, garlic and water.
Here’s the recipe.
Ingredients:
½ glass of water
1 lemon
2 tablespoons of honey
2 garlic cloves
Instructions:
Boil water. When it is not so hot, you should add honey, finely chopped garlic and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Mix well to combine. Then strain the mixture so that only the liquid is left. Take up to 3 tablespoons of the mixture every day to alleviate cold symptoms. Store in the refrigerator when not in use.
We encourage you to try it :)
In the pictures you can see the onion syrup and the lemon, honey, garlic syrup.
