How to stay healthy in winter - part 2

Our kids and pupils are very creative and have more ideas to be health in winter time !!!

1. Traditional greek treats for energy in winter

In Greece we have some traditional treats with fast calories, ideal for wintertime (for kids and thin people mostly, I say). The 1st one called "submarine" and is a spoonful of vanilla served in a glass of water. The 2nd is "loukoumi" (a soft sticky traditional sweet) served between 2 biscuits. There was a lesson in Language about traditional treats in Greece, so we reenact a traditional greek cafe in classroom and we enjoyed a sweet break..

2. But as they say it`s better to prevent than cure.

Pupils in Greece - Veria talked in class about prevention tips(the before rules) and cure tips( the after rules)
There is a file named " cold and flu" in the files section with more photos but the main tips are so nicely summarised here.

3. Natural remedies

Kids from Poland prepared onion syrup for cough.

How to Make a syrup with onions - recipe

Peel two or three onions. Finely chop the onion and charge quite abundant sugar. You can also pour honey. The whole set aside, covered, for about five hours until the onion juice empty. Onion syrup ready. Onion syrup is good for the child's cough, cold, and even hay.
